The Three-Way Handshake is a process used by TCP to establish a connection between two devices. It involves three steps -- SYN (synchronize) packet sent from client to server, ACK (acknowledgment) packet sent from server to client in response, and finally an ACK packet sent from client to server confirming the connection establishment. This handshake ensures that both devices are ready to transmit data and establishes a dedicated connection for communication.
